The Ottawa Hospital Foundation exists to help our community support improvements in patient care and equipment at The Ottawa Hospital, and groundbreaking research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.

The Ottawa Hospital is the largest acute care hospital in Eastern Ontario. As such, it is a critical community asset that touches the lives of people in every neighbourhood and in every corner of our region. With your support, we can help ensure the Hospital is ready for you and your loved ones when they need it most.

Making your donation count

With 82% of our annual spending going directly to programs at The Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation is the fourth most efficient hospital foundation in the country.

In June 2010 MoneySense, a personal finance magazine, published its first national review of Canada’s top 100 charities. The results compare Canadian charities in terms of funds raised and other measures, and are based on the Canada Revenue Agency 2008 T3010 filing and other documents. The Ottawa Hospital Foundation received an A+ for its efficiency.

Campaign Achievements

February 26, 2010: The Ottawa Hospital Foundation announces more than $24 million was raised through the 20-20 Campaign in support of The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre expansion.

January 30, 2008: The Ottawa Hospital Foundation announces more than $108 million was raised through the Legacy Campaign
