The Ottawa Hospital Foundation has
exceeded its 20-20 Campaign goal of raising $20 million
in 20 months for the expansion of The Ottawa Hospital Cancer
Centre at the General Campus.
During an event held February 26, 2010 at the new Cancer
Centre, the Foundation announced more than $24.5 million had
been raised in support of the Centre’s expansion –
the largest in its history.
The success of the Campaign has enabled The Ottawa
Hospital to:
- Centralize nine radiation machines at the General Campus.
- Add 15 new chemotherapy chairs, for a total of 50.
- Offer more natural light, a comfortable environment, and
access to outdoor areas to patients, families and staff
which will help the recovery process.
