The Ottawa Hospital Foundation Hosts Fun-Filled Tailgate Party
to Thank Donors
(OTTAWA, ONTARIO) - Over 540 top donors gathered
today for an afternoon of fun during the first Ottawa Hospital Foundation
Tailgate Party presented by the Ottawa Renegades. These Foundation
supporters and their families took part in several activities at
Lansdowne Park, including a BBQ and play structures, before taking
in the game between the B.C. Lions and the Ottawa Renegades.
“Today is all about thanking the people who are bringing
about a positive change to health care in our community,”
said Susan Doyle, President and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
“They understand the importance and urgency of ensuring that
The Ottawa Hospital is able to provide the best of care, should
they or their loved ones ever need it.”
Thanks to the ongoing commitment of the Ottawa community, the Foundation’s
five-year Legacy Campaign has now reached the $55 million mark.
The goal of this fundraising effort is to reach $100 million by
2007.
This event was made possible thanks to the Ottawa Renegades and
the following sponsors: Innovapost, Scotiabank Group, MBNA Canada,
Brookfield Lepage Johnson Control (BLJC) and BMO Nesbitt Burns.
