TONY GRAHAM AUTOMOTIVE GROUP
ANNOUNCES MAJOR INVESTMENT
IN CANCER RESEARCH AT THE OTTAWA HOSPITAL

(OTTAWA, ONTARIO) – They have proudly served the Ottawa area for the past 40 years and today the Tony Graham Automotive Group announced that their dedication to this community would extend well beyond their loyal customer base.

“The Tony Graham Automotive Group understands the importance of advancing world-class health care,” says Patrick Graham, President of the Tony Graham Automotive Group. “By supporting ground-breaking research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, we will also be supporting our community and the people we care about who will benefit from future medical discoveries.”

The formula is simple. Participants join the MDS Nordion Run For a Reason Challenge and raise funds for The Ottawa Hospital – the official local charity of Ottawa Race Weekend (May 29-30).

Every dollar raised in support of cancer research leading up to Ottawa Race Weekend will trigger a $1 donation from the Tony Graham Automotive Group - up to a maximum of $200,000!

One of the researchers who will benefit from this generosity is Dr. John Bell, who is currently studying viruses that can kill cancer cells.

“I recently had the opportunity to tour the new Cancer Centre at The Ottawa Hospital General Campus and met Dr. Bell who shared with me his vision for the future of cancer treatment,” says Graham. “It was inspiring to hear him talk so passionately about his work.”

The funds raised by the community, and donated by the Tony Graham Automotive Group, will support the creation of a Centre for Innovative Cancer Research at The Ottawa Hospital General Campus where Dr. Bell, and many other researchers, will work to discover new and more effective ways to treat cancer.
