Iogen
Iogen employees wrapped up their third workplace campaign and raised $51,000 for critical care!
The team at Iogen focused this year’s fundraising efforts on three vital pieces of equipment to be used in the Emergency Department at the General Campus. The Blood Pressure Machine, Stretcher and Infusion Pole with Pump are all essential in helping our medical team provide the best possible care.
No one ever expects to need the Emergency Room; however, the medical team at The Ottawa Hospital will be ready when you or a loved one needs their help, thanks in part to the employees of Iogen
On behalf of the thousands of patients whose lives will be touched by the generosity of Iogen employees, thank you.

Blood Pressure Machine - assists the
medical team in obtaining the patient’s
vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate,
respiratory rate, temperature and oxygen
concentration measurements. Continuous
monitoring of these vital statistics is essential.
Stretcher - assists in making the patient
more comfortable and allows the medical
team to assess the situation with a
head-to-toe view of the patient.
Infusion Pole with Pump - administer fluids and
medication in doses personalized for each
patient. The pump can deliver as little as 0.1 mL
per hour injections (too small for an IV drip),
injections every minute or medications that assist in regulating a patient’s blood pressure and heart rate.

2010 marks Iogen’s 2nd Annual Workplace Campaign, and we
truly appreciate the continued generosity and support. This year,
the money raised through Iogen employee and corporate donations
will be used to equip the Centre for Innovative Cancer Research
(CICR) at The Ottawa Hospital.
Again, many thanks to the entire Iogen team on another great year,
and your ongoing support of The Ottawa Hospital!

Iogen 2010 Workplace Campaign
Iogen held their first employee workplace
campaign in 2009 voting to raise funds for The Ottawa Hospital
Cancer Centre. Their employee contributions and corporate
company matching helped raise over $45,000 in total for
the purchase of a centrifuge for the Centre.
Moved by the story of Dr. John Bell and his
work, in 2010 they are raising money for the Center for
Innovative Cancer Research on the third floor of the Cancer
Centre.
